60 years of marriage GRIFFITHS Marian Witton Derek and Marian Griffiths celebrate 60 years of marriage.
Derek and Marian met at a dance in 1957 at Trentham Gardens. Marian was a district midwife. She is from Prospect Village, Rawnsley. Derek, from Bloxwich, had spent many summers at Beaudesert as a keen scouter. He worked as an electrician at St. Matthews Hospital in Burntwood for many years.
They went to live in Norton Canes and have two children, Julie and Roger, who is married to Amanda. Marian was a keen amateur actress and appeared in many local productions, her most noted role was as Nancy in Oliver! at Norton Canes Secondary School. Derek was an excellent stage manager and in charge of lighting.
They retired to Pembroke in Wales having spent many years visiting their caravan at Lydstep Haven.
They have three grandchildren, James married to Amy, Michael with his girlfriend Jodie and Joseph and girlfriend Alicia. They returned the area, to Lichfield 10 years ago. They are both members of Cannock Wood Methodist Chapel. your family with love
